Genesis is an idle tech research nation simulator. You run a research lab, fund a thriving nation with the money your model earns, and race rival labs up the Civilization Score. There's no finish line, just a model, a nation, and a board that all keep growing together, entirely offline with no data ever leaving your device.

No. Genesis is fully offline. The rival labs on the Civilization Board are research-driven and simulated on your device, there's no online connection or real-player matchmaking.
No. All save data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to any server.
Every couple of hours a Cycle presents 3 situations to judge. A perfect score boosts your model; a poor one sets you back. While a cycle is waiting, the game pauses until you decide, so you won't miss one by being away.
Genesis is a slow idle game, your nation grows over real time. When a Cycle is pending it waits for your decision, so progress on cycles only continues once you've judged the situations.
If you fall too far behind to catch up, Reboot restarts you and every rival from zero in a fresh race. The game never "game-overs", a reboot is a clean run at beating your best score.
No sync between devices. Each installation is independent — progress is local to that device.

Local save data is removed on uninstall unless included in an iOS device backup.
Troubleshooting
My model stalled and income dropped
This is usually a weak service or an energy shortfall. Lift your weakest service (happiness is set by the lowest one), make sure energy capacity keeps up with demand, and rebalance the serve/train slider.
App won't open
Force-close the app and relaunch. If the issue persists, restart your device, then try again.
Save data not loading
Ensure you have free storage space on your device. Restart the app and check if the save appears.
Game is slow or choppy
Close other running apps, free up storage, and make sure iOS is up to date.
